The Getting Ready to Learn application process for 2023-24 is now open to all DE funded pre-schools, including pre-school playgroups, nursery schools and units (including special schools) and reception classes.
It is a two-stage application process:

If your child is attending a DE funded playgroup or nursery school in Northern Ireland you will probably have heard of the Getting Ready to Learn programme through stay and plays, information sessions, pyjama parties, book bags and home lending packs. Some of you may know the programme through Big Bedtime Read, our most popular theme.
